通过BATSE数据得到的短暴诞生率比以前估计的高, 和脉冲双星(binary pulsars是两个都是脉冲星, 还是其中一个是?)的并合率相当. 为 \sim 8 to \sim 30h_(70)^3 Gpc^(-3)yr^(-1).
